Marketing Co-op Position

The Marketing Co-op will have the opportunity to participate and contribute in planning and executing market research and marketing communications projects. In addition, you'll gain exposure to the wide variety of tasks performed within the functional areas of a corporate marketing department. These functional areas include Internet marketing, competitive intelligence, training, dealer development, dealer communications, public relations, product marketing, and brand marketing.

Essential job functions include:

• Complete market research projects that involve identifying appropriate data sources, collecting, and analyzing that data, and preparing and presenting recommendations.
• Research key industry issues, challenges, trends, and topics to support the development of marketing plans, solutions, and strategies.
• Launch a new project and develop a plan, from start to finish, resulting in a corporate decision based on the feedback and metrics.
• Provide support for ongoing projects, dealer communications, as well as special marketing projects, events, and tasks as assigned.

Job specifications:

• Working towards a Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business/Business Administration preferred, or related degree considered as applicable.
• Good application skills of Microsoft Office tools, such as Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and analytical skills are essential.

Continual Improvement and Problem Resolution: Identifies and communicates suggestions for work improvements. Uses technical and analytical abilities to assure existing work practices are the most efficient and cost effective possible. Performs root-cause analysis and implements viable, permanent solutions to problems. Works with both internal and external customers to develop solutions which meet company-wide needs and objectives. Applies a sense of urgency to resolve problems or creates opportunities that will increase productivity and create value. Shares best practices with other employees across the business.

Accountability: Accepts responsibility and accessibility for both the strategic planning and the successful implementation of all projects, programs, and duties as outlined in this job description. Advises supervisor of concerns, problems, and progress of work in a timely manner.
