Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM or 7:00 AM–4:00 PM
Location: Seattle, WA (Hospital Setting)

Overview:
A leading healthcare facility in Seattle is seeking an experienced and compassionate  Nurse Manager to lead its dynamic Labor & Delivery unit. This is an exciting opportunity to join a high-volume, high-acuity environment that supports over 6,500 births annually and includes a Level 4 NICU.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee daily clinical operations and patient care delivery in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team.
• Lead a team of approximately 160 direct reports, reporting to the Senior Manager.
• Ensure compliance with professional, regulatory, and institutional standards.
• Develop and implement unit-based quality improvement initiatives and patient care goals.
• Conduct staff evaluations, support retention efforts, and foster a positive work environment.
• Serve as a patient advocate, supporting ethical and culturally sensitive care.
• Collaborate with educators and specialists to support staff development and training.
• Participate in grievance resolution and staff coaching across all shifts.

Unit Highlights:

• 30 Labor Beds
• 9-Bed OB Emergency Department
• 4 OB Operating Rooms
• ~500–550 births per month
• Level 4 NICU with 77 beds
• Comprehensive care team including MFM, Midwifery, OB, Family Medicine
• Specialized programs for addiction recovery, doula support, and cultural navigation
• 24/7 Anesthesia, Laborist, and Neonatology coverage

Qualifications:

• Active RN license in Washington State (WA)
• Minimum 1 year of leadership experience (excluding charge nurse roles)
• Recent clinical experience in Labor & Delivery
